THE PEOPLE
BEHIND THE PUB
The Whysmen Virtual Pub is built by men who lead with clarity, connection and commitment. Meet the people who make this community what it is.

Jeff Bolek
I worked in physical rehabilitation at the Cleveland Clinic for 26 years. I am now retired and an avid runner and guitarist. I have worked with Paul to develop the Pub Community.
Larry Rosenberg
I am keen on holistic well-being, consciousness growth, creative edutainment, community involvement, and world service. I coach seniors to live better, craft poetry about life, perform the uplifting The Larry Show, and advise businesses to improve marketing.

Anthem Republiq
I am an award-winning African Kenyan poet, writer, actor and creative consultant. My artistic journey embodies day-to-day life experiences, dreams, hope and social advocacy – focusing now on STARIFIK, a proposed community center to empower youth through art, innovation and technology.
Paul McCarthy
I am a man in service to men. The Pub lies at the heart of my life’s purpose, “I live to Give”. I'm in the latter stage of my life, and the work of our Pub is driven by my need to connect with men worldwide in conversations that matter.

Robert Chase
I am a retired minister in the U.S.-based United Church of Christ (UCC). My career spans more than a half-century of engagements, local and global, to enhance peace, justice, and human dignity.
Matthew Temple
I am a filmmaker by trade, who left Hollywood for Kenya to cofound the social enterprise Ecodunia, splitting my time between Kenya and the U.S. I hold a master’s degree in Gender and Masculinities from the University of Chicago.

Sandro Declava
I’m a musician and filmmaker living in Vienna, Austria, after two decades in Tasmania. As a sole-parenting father, I joined men's groups 25 years ago. Sharing and listening to stories reveals our inner landscapes, which, like our planet, require care. The Pub provides a safe, intimate space for this exchange, offering inspiration and a sense of purpose. It’s here I find connection and community.
